Voa1500 is a software running on Windows 2000/XP for learning English. It is designed by applying the basic meaning of the 1500 basic English words to two learning methods: LEARN and TEST.

In LEARN mode, this application prompts the basic meaning in a balloon, and shows the basic word in the small TEXT window. The balloon and the word will change automatically, and the duration is defaulted to 5 seconds unless you modify it.

In TEST mode, the meaning of the tested word is shown in the balloon, but the basic word is not shown, you must type the word into the TEXT window, with ENTER to finish. The result is shown beside the TEXT window.

This mini application can be configured as you like, such as the font color, the balloon color, and even the frame -- you can use mouse to draw the frame by yourself. You can also configure it to automatically quit after X miniutes. And of course, you can also add your own dictionary in!

The usage of Voa1500 is simple. Type F9 to switch between LEARN and TEST modes, type F5 to invoke the configuration window. These and more shortcut keys are shown in the original window, or you can find them in the HELP window by typing F1.
